The University Institute of Technology (IUT) trains, in three years, graduates who are immediately operational in management, finance, sales, communication, logistics and IT.

Teaching combines lectures, tutorials, projects and work placements, with input from professionals. Each year the IUT holds a Careers Fair to bring students and employers together.

Admission

  • First year: scientific, vocational or technical baccalaureate;
  • Third year (professional Bachelor's): University Diploma of Technology (DUT) or two years of higher education.

Programmes & Departments

Bachelor's in Insurance, Finance and Banking (AFB)

3 years

Prepares students for careers in banking and insurance: promoting and selling bancassurance products, processing transactions, drafting contracts and customer relations, with a strong emphasis on autonomy and teamwork.

Career prospects: Bank employee, customer adviser, microfinance officer, tax officer, insurance.

Bachelor's in Corporate Communication (CE)

3 years

Prepares students for careers in communication: managing corporate information, press and media relations, advertising, marketing and events.

Career prospects: Communication departments of companies and public bodies, communication agencies, NGOs, information-education-communication (IEC) services.

Bachelor's in Accounting and Business Management (CGE)

3 years

Solid foundations in accounting (day-to-day operations, management control, financial analysis) and law (business and labour law), taught by lecturers and practitioners (accountants, tax specialists, bankers).

Career prospects: Assistant accountant, accounts manager in public and private institutions; further study in banking and insurance, accountancy, management control.

Bachelor's in Human Resource Management (GRH)

3 years

Trains versatile HR assistants: personnel administration, workforce and skills management, communication and industrial relations, working conditions.

Career prospects: HR assistant or manager in SMEs, large companies, public authorities and associations.

Bachelor's in Business Computing (IG)

3 years

A solid foundation in computing and management: algorithms, programming, databases, operating systems, networks and web technologies.

Career prospects: Developer, analyst-programmer, webmaster; telecommunications, banks, insurance, public administration, businesses; progression to a Master's in computing.

Bachelor's in IT Maintenance and Networks (MIR)

3 years

Trains specialist technicians in maintaining IT equipment, fixed and mobile networks and telecommunications: installation, diagnostics, network administration and security.

Career prospects: Systems and network technician, user support technician, IT asset manager, telecom operators.

Bachelor's in Logistics and Transport Management (MLT)

3 years

Trains students to manage the flow of goods: transport, storage, procurement and warehousing, supported by information systems, to reduce costs and lead times.

Career prospects: Logistics assistant or manager, freight forwarder, stock and procurement manager, transport planner (companies, NGOs, transport firms).

Trains versatile middle managers for commerce, skilled in marketing, international trade, IT and commercial law, for SMEs and large companies alike.
